Being There For Those Who "Put It All On The Line"
The Puget Sound Detachment of the Marine Corps League is a Congressionally-Chartered 501(c)4 Registered Charity and operates as a Tax-Exempt Organization for Tax Deductible Contributions under the War Veterans Exemption of IRC 170(c)3.
Our primary mission is supporting active and 'inactive' Marines and the Community in which we live.
Many things we can do by just being Marines, but Marine culture is team-based, and by partnering with the communities, we serve, what we do comes back around. And vice versa. In tactical terms, this is called "force multiplication". Feel free to call it synergy, karma, payback, or even paying forward. Corporate and Benefactor contributors can obtain a copy of our IRS Letter of Exemption Determination by calling the Detachment at (425) 440-9506
Your tax-deductible contributions can be sent to:

-DISCLOSURE
While none of our funds are administered by salaried personnel (we are all unpaid volunteers), contributions to the General Funds could conceivably be used in part for expenses considered "administrative" by the IRS. These expenditures are authorized exempt charitable expenses, but it could be misleading to claim 100% purely-charitable use in those funds, as a small portion of those funds might be used to cover operational expenses of the Honor Guard, or in the case of the General Fund, "administrative expenses" of the Detachment as described above if such expenses exceed that covered solely by member dues. It's not often this is necessary, but this disclosure serves as notice that such expenses are authorized in those specific funds to further the Marine Corps League's Veteran and Community Service operations. Our MCL members donate their time, service, and most, if not all, of their own expenses as a sense of honor, duty, and privilege, in order to maximize the funds available to benefit our brother and sister Marines, FMF Corpsmen, their families, and the community in which we live. Likewise, we carefully investigate the recipients of our funds to accomplish the greatest end-recipient value from these resources. You can be confident your tax-deductible contributions are cherished and diligently distributed in support of accomplishing each fund's mission.
